Short answer- YES, Jaipur is definitely worth visiting! Also known as the Pink City, it should be right at the top of your list.
I myself had resided close to Jaipur all my life, but never visited it.
But when I finally got a break from the corporate world for a moment, I decided to explore it since it doesn’t take more than 3 days to cover it.
Is Jaipur worth visiting?
This same doubt I also had when I was thinking about where to go for a short 3-4 day trip, & perhaps the famous hill stations of
Himachal would do better since the summers in India were about to start.
Thankfully, the famous tourist destination, which I have heard so much about, proved to be more than worthy!
This beautiful city in Rajasthan, India, which i visited in March 2025 is not only rich in history and culture but also offers a variety of experiences that cater to travelers of all kinds.
Let’s see why is Jaipur worth visiting & all things it has to offer-
Best time to visit Jaipur
The best time to visit Jaipur is typically from October to March.

The famous palace is a must and falls on the way between to Jaigarh and other forts.

Which is better, Delhi or Jaipur?
Since I have extensively travelled both my short answer would be clearly Jaipur!😍
Again its not that Delhi does not have its own charms like the India Gate, Red Fort, etc.
However, most of these places are just one-time sees. Whereas Jaipur is worth visiting because it’s a proper tourist hub with history still resonating in its pink markets, scenic views & other wonderful forts.
Is it better to go to Jaipur or Udaipur?
Both Udaipur & Jaipur are worth visiting. However, if one needs to pick then-
Jaipur-> Royal + city rush + Historic (Jaipur is worth visiting if it is your first visit to Rajasthan)
- Famous forts – Nahargarh fort, Amber fort etc.
- Bazaar street vibe
- Iconic spots: Hawa Mahal, Jal Mahal etc.
Udaipur -> Royal, scenic lakes & Romantic (Better for honeymoon destination)
- Iconic Lakes: Pichola & Fateh Sagar Lake
- Less rushed & less crowded
